Founders Guus Wickenhagen and Michael Duddie bring more than 40 years of hospitality experience to Los Angeles to achieve precisely that.

Chef Wickenhagen began his career as a teenager, soon finding himself at the Michelin starred De Hoop Op d’Swarte Walvis in Amsterdam. From there, he went to the contemporary global dining scene of Supperclub where he rose to Executive Chef. Chef Wickenhagen continued with Supperclub all over Europe with innovative menu concepts that eventually brought him to Los Angeles by way of Rome, London, and San Francisco.



Michael has a reputation as a hands on innovator, and is known as a veteran leader of many beloved Los Angeles venues.  He cut his teeth in upper management as the General Manager of Chocolat, as well as the venerable Mirabelle Restaurant, before launching the meteoric Supperclub Los Angeles.

Duddie and Wickenhagen then worked as a duo catering under the banner Q Catering, before launching The Copper Key.


Melissa Diner is an Events Manager at The Copper Key Catering and Events at the MacArthur in Los Angeles. She is an entrepreneur active in event production & sales, property management and community service. Melissa joined the Copper Key after working at 800MAIN in Venice where she currently lives and serves as the Secretary of the Venice Neighborhood Council.


Rebecca Udell is the Director of Events for The MacArthur in Los Angeles, home to The Copper Key Catering and Events

Rebecca has been involved in the events industry for more than 12 years and is one of our most experience event producers. Her entrepreneurial spirit caused her to open her own business, Rebecca Lynn Events. 

Rebecca eventually chose to become part of our family in 2016 giving The Copper Key another business minded team member with a wealth of knowledge and experience. 


Tawni Baker, the Special Events Manager for The MacArthur in Los Angeles, home to The Copper Key Catering and Events, got her degree in Criminal Justice. She found herself immersed in the events industry when the economy crashed in 2008, giving tours and writing contracts for the restaurant she was working at. Within a couple of years she had been promoted to Director of Catering and has been a part of this industry ever since.

A huge lover of all dogs, she is the proud Mom of Harley, a pit mix and Shelby, a boxer.


William Yim grew up learning butchery at an early age in his family’s grocery. This paved the way for an extensive career in the culinary field. He went to Le Cordon Bleu and quickly got an internship with the Hotel Belair. He honed his craft there, working his way to Jr. Sous Chef before moving on to diverse locations like a vertical wine bar in Pasadena, The Los Angeles Zoo, and the Hilton in Baltimore, Maryland.

William is now the Sous Chef at The Copper Key Catering and Events in Los Angeles where he uses his eclectic knowledge to collaborate with Executive Chef Wickenhagen on our Modern Classic world-class menus.
